About us

Stone specialists who work on yachts

LTDS Yachting is the international yachting brand of Les Traitements du Sud, the stone-care company that looks after yachts on the Côte d’Azur. Marble, onyx, travertine, granite and quartzite are our only trade: we polish, repair, clean and protect natural stone, and we do it on board, where the stone is installed.

This site exists for one reason. Yachts do not stay in one place: many of those we look after on the Riviera spend the rest of the year in other ports. LTDS Yachting is our answer: the same people, the same methods and the same standards, available in the Mediterranean and Atlantic ports where yachts spend their seasons.

Les Traitements du Sud

Les Traitements du Sud is a French company specialised in the treatment of floors and natural stone. On the Côte d’Azur, a large part of its work takes place on yachts: saloon tables, guest bathrooms, floors, bar tops and staircases, restored alongside, at anchor or in the shipyard.

That experience shaped the way we work. A yacht interior is not a hotel lobby: the stone is often thinner, sometimes mounted on lightweight panels, surrounded by fragile joinery and used by guests who expect perfection. Working there taught us to protect first, to control dust at the source and to plan around the crew rather than the other way round.

Why an international yachting brand

A yacht that spends the summer in the Balearics may winter in Italy and refit in another country. Her captain should not have to find, brief and trust a new stone contractor in every port. With LTDS Yachting, the crew deals with one team, one method and one WhatsApp number, wherever the yacht happens to be.

Today, all interventions are carried out by Les Traitements du Sud’s travelling team, under the freedom to provide services within the European Union. In the longer term, a local company will be set up in each port of the network; until then, we say it plainly: our team travels to your yacht. We do not claim offices, bases or addresses that do not exist.

You can see the ports we cover in find your port. Requests for other ports are welcome: tell us where the yacht will be and we will tell you honestly whether we can come.

The travelling team model

We do not keep a workshop or a stock in every port. A small team travels with its own equipment and products, joins the yacht where she is, completes the job and moves on. Alongside in the marina, at anchor when access allows, in the shipyard during a refit or lay-up, or in a workshop near the yacht for removable pieces: we come to your yacht, wherever she is.

This model keeps things simple for the crew. The people who visit the yacht are the people who do the work. There is no subcontracting chain and no intermediary between you and the technician holding the polishing machine.

What we stand for

Values

Discretion

Yacht names, interiors and faces are never published without consent. A non-disclosure agreement is available on request.
Values

Precision

Each surface is assessed and treated according to its stone and its finish. The quote says exactly what will be done, and what will not.
Values

On-board methods

Full protection, dust controlled at the source, products suited to confined spaces, and a schedule built around the crew.Read more

These are not slogans. They are written into the way we work on board, from the first message to the final check with the chief stew.

Languages

Yachting is an international world, and so are its crews. We work in English with captains, crew and managers, and our team also speaks French. This site is available in English, Spanish and Italian, and quotes and written follow-up can be provided in those languages.

What we do, and what we do not

We concentrate on natural stone: polishing, crystallisation, repairs, etch mark and stain removal, protection and maintenance contracts. We do not work on teak, carpets or wood. Keeping to one trade is how we keep it right.

Join the team

We are always glad to hear from marble polishers and stone restorers who enjoy working on board and travelling between ports. If that sounds like you, have a look at our careers page.
