Yacht marble restoration, before and after
The pages of this site describe how we work. This one shows it. Below you will find yacht marble restoration before and after photographs taken on board, during real jobs carried out by the team of Les Traitements du Sud, the stone-care company that looks after yachts on the Côte d’Azur.
Each image shows a surface and what was done to it: coffee tables in the saloon, a round marble table on deck honed and polished with its edges masked by protection tape, veined tops brought back to an even finish. Some photos show the work in progress, because the protection and the method matter as much as the final shine. You can filter the gallery by type of surface: bathrooms, floors, counters and tables, stairs.
Why the yachts stay anonymous
You will not find the name of a yacht, a recognisable exterior or a face in these photos. That is deliberate. Owners and their crews trust us with their interiors, and many of them prefer their yacht never to appear on a contractor’s website. We only publish what shows the stone and the work, and we never publish anything that identifies a yacht without explicit consent.
For the same reason, the captions describe the surface and the treatment, nothing more. A non-disclosure agreement is available on request before any visit.
How to read a before and after
Polished marble is hard to photograph: reflections change with every light source on board. We try to shoot before and after from the same angle and under similar light, so that what you see is the change in the surface, not a change in the lighting.
Look at the reflections of ceiling lights and windows. On a worn surface they are blurred and broken; once the marble has been honed and polished, they become sharp and continuous again.

Every surface in this gallery went through the same sequence: photos, a visit, a clear quote, a schedule built around the crew, full protection, the work, and a final check with the chief stew. You can read the details in how we work on board, or go straight to the services: polishing, repair, etch mark removal and protection.
Send us a few photos of your own surfaces on WhatsApp and we will tell you what can be done. We come to your yacht, wherever she is.
