Data we collect
Quote requests
When you use the quote form, we collect: your name; your role on board or in relation to the yacht; the yacht’s name (optional); her length; where the work would take place; the port, marina or shipyard; the dates when the yacht is available; the surfaces concerned; your phone or WhatsApp number; your e-mail address; your message; and any photos you choose to attach.
Job applications
When you apply through the careers form, we collect: your name; e-mail address; phone or WhatsApp number; preferred port or ports; trade; years of experience; whether you have worked on board; languages spoken; your CV; and your message.
Files you send (photos and CVs) are stored privately on the server and are not accessible through a public URL.
Purposes and legal bases
- Answering your request, preparing a quote and organising the work: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Following up with you about your request and keeping a record of our exchanges: our legitimate interest in managing our client relations (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Assessing your application and contacting you about a position: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
Retention periods
- Quote requests: three years from our last contact with you, unless a contract is signed, in which case the data needed for that contract is kept for the periods required by law.
- Job applications, including CVs: two years from receipt, unless you ask us to delete them earlier.
Recipients
Your data is intended only for the people within Les Traitements du Sud who handle your request or your application. It is never sold or rented. Our technical providers process it on our behalf and only for the purposes above: the website hosting provider, Hostinger, and our e-mail service, through which form submissions are delivered to us.
Transfers outside the European Union
The website is hosted on servers within the European Union, and we do not intend to transfer your data outside the EU. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, see the section below.
WhatsApp is offered as a convenience. If you choose to contact us through it, your messages, number and any files you send are also processed by WhatsApp, a service of Meta, under its own terms and privacy policy, which may involve transfers outside the European Union. If you prefer, you can use the form, e-mail or phone instead.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only technical elements needed for the site to work are used. If you close the language suggestion banner, that preference is stored locally in your browser (local storage) so that the banner is not shown again; it is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to object to its processing, to restrict it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise these rights, write to contact@ltds-yachting.com, stating your request. We may ask for proof of identity if there is reasonable doubt.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when a local company takes over the work in a port. The current version is always the one published on this page.
