A stone contractor that fits your procedures
If you manage one yacht or a fleet, you do not need another contractor who sends a price on a napkin and disappears after the job. You need a clear scope before work starts, a quote that can go into the approval chain, a report that shows what was done, and an invoice that matches the quote. That is what marble restoration for yacht managers means to us.
LTDS Yachting restores marble, onyx, travertine, granite and quartzite on board, in the ports where the yachts you manage spend their season or their winter. The work is carried out by the travelling team of Les Traitements du Sud, the stone-care company that looks after yachts on the Côte d’Azur, with the same methods and the same discretion.
Marble restoration for yacht managers, technical superintendents and owner’s representatives
The person who approves the budget is often not the person who sees the damage. We work with both: the captain and chief stew on board for the technical detail and the planning, and you for scope, budget, documentation and payment. Each side gets what it needs, without either having to relay everything.
Written quotes with a defined scope
Every job starts with an assessment, from photos sent by the crew or from a visit on board when photos are not enough. It ends in a written quote that states:
- The yacht, the areas and the surfaces concerned, room by room
- The stone identified and the condition observed
- The services planned: polishing, crystallisation, repair, etch removal, protection
- The method, including protection of joinery and carpets
- The place of work: alongside, at anchor, in the shipyard or in a nearby workshop
- What we need from the yacht: access, power, water, free areas
- The price, the payment terms and the validity of the quote
- What is excluded, so there are no surprises on the invoice
If the condition found on board differs from the photos, we stop, document it and send a revised scope before going further. Nothing is added without written approval.
During the work
The team reports to the captain or the person you designate, follows the yacht’s rules on board and at the marina or yard gate, and keeps you informed of progress if you wish. Our working method is described in full on our how we work on board page: protection of all surroundings, dust extracted at source, products suited to closed spaces, a small and discreet team.
After the work
You receive a short written report: the areas treated, the work carried out, any observation on the stone or its fixings, care recommendations for the interior team, and before and after photographs of each surface. The report is designed to go straight into the yacht’s maintenance records or the owner’s file.

Before and after, documented
Photographs are taken in the same light and from the same angle before and after, so that the change is visible to someone who has never been on board. They show the stone only, not the rest of the interior.
These photographs stay with you. We never publish a yacht’s name, interior or crew without consent, and the images in our own work gallery are anonymised and shown only with agreement.
Maintenance contracts along the itinerary
One-off restorations solve today’s problem. A maintenance contract keeps the stone right through the year, with visits placed where the yacht actually is.
- 01
Before the season
A full check and restoration of the areas that suffered over winter or during the yard period, ideally before the first guests board.
- 02
Between charters
Short visits for the marks guests leave: rings on bars and vanities, scratches on floors, chips on nosings. Planned with the captain on the turnaround dates.
- 03
End of season
A complete assessment, with deeper work scheduled for the shipyard or lay-up period, when the interior is free.
Because our team travels to the yacht in each of our ports across Spain, Italy, Malta, Croatia, Greece and Portugal, a contract can follow the yacht’s itinerary instead of waiting for her to return to one harbour. We come to your yacht, wherever she is.
Working alongside the yard and other contractors
The shipyard period is often the best time for large stone work: the interior is free, the furniture may already be out and there are no guests to work around. It is also the most crowded time on board, with painters, joiners, electricians and AV teams sharing the same corridors.
When you include stone work in a refit or lay-up programme, we coordinate with the yard’s project manager and with the other trades so that marble is restored after the dusty jobs and before the final interior clean, not the other way round. We follow the yard’s safety and access rules, provide the documents the yard requests for contractors, and protect the finished stone until the yacht is handed back. If the yard schedule moves, we move with it, and you are told what the change means for the scope and the dates.
For removable pieces such as table tops or vanity tops, workshop treatment near the yacht can take them off the critical path altogether.
What we can be asked to do
The services are deliberately limited to stone, so that we do them well.

Invoicing
Today, quotes and invoices are issued by Les Traitements du Sud, the French company whose travelling team carries out the work in every port of this site, under the freedom to provide services within the European Union. Invoices can be addressed to the owning entity, the management company or another party you specify, with the yacht’s name and your purchase order reference if you use one. Local companies will take over port by port later; when that happens, you will be told before any change on your invoices.
Confidentiality
Owners value privacy and so do we. A non-disclosure agreement is available on request and can be signed before any visit. Yacht names, interiors and faces are never published without consent. Photos and reports are shared only with the people you designate.
One contact for the whole fleet
If you manage several yachts, you can send all requests to the same WhatsApp number and e-mail address, whatever the port. We keep track of each yacht separately, with its stones, its history of work and its preferred contacts on board. Crews can reach us directly on the technical side; our page for captains and crew explains how we work with them.
Questions from yacht managers
Can you quote from photos, or do you need to visit?
For many jobs, good photos from the crew are enough for a firm quote. When the damage is unclear or the scope is large, we propose a visit on board first and say so before quoting.
Who issues the invoice?
For now, Les Traitements du Sud, the French company that carries out the work. Invoices can be addressed to the entity you specify and include your references.
Do you provide reports with before and after photos?
Yes, after every job: areas treated, work done, observations, care advice and before and after photographs of the stone.
Can a maintenance contract follow the yacht from port to port?
Yes. Visits are planned according to the itinerary, in the ports we serve, with the timing agreed with the captain.
Will you sign our NDA or use yours?
Either. We can sign the management company’s agreement or provide one, before the first visit.
What happens if the work turns out larger than quoted?
We stop, document what we found with photos and send a revised scope. Nothing beyond the approved quote is done without your written agreement.
Tell us about your yacht
Send a few photos on WhatsApp: we reply with a first assessment and propose a slot that fits the crew’s schedule.
