Yacht marble restoration in Spain, from the Balearics to the Costa del Sol

Yacht marble restoration in Spain follows the rhythm of one of the busiest yachting coasts in Europe. The Balearic Islands hold yachts from spring to autumn, Barcelona and Palma concentrate a large share of the Mediterranean’s superyacht refit work, and Puerto Banús sits close to the Strait of Gibraltar, on the route between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

Our team travels to your yacht in four Spanish ports, alongside, at anchor or in the yard, and adapts to where she is in her season.

The Spanish yachting year

The season traditionally opens in Palma with the Palma International Boat Show at the end of April (in 2026 it ran from 29 April to 2 May), when many yachts are in their final preparation before the first guests. From June to September the Balearics are at their busiest: Mallorca’s south and west coasts, Ibiza and Formentera fill with charter and private yachts, and the time between two charters is short.

From October, the picture changes. Many yachts head for a yard or a winter berth in Palma or Barcelona, which are among the main refit centres in the Mediterranean. Others pass the Strait on their way to the Atlantic crossing, and the Costa del Sol becomes a natural stop.

For marble, this calendar matters more than anything else. The heaviest work on floors, stairs and bathrooms fits best into the winter and refit period; spring is for a final polish and protection before the first guests; summer is for quick, targeted interventions on etch marks and stains between two charters.

How our travelling team works in Spain

Interventions in Spain are carried out today by the travelling team of Les Traitements du Sud, the stone-care company that looks after yachts on the Côte d’Azur, working in Spain under the EU freedom to provide services. There is no Spanish office or address: the team travels to your yacht with its equipment.

  • In the yards of Palma and Barcelona, we fit into the refit schedule and coordinate with the project manager and the other trades on board.
  • Alongside in the marina, we work cabin by cabin so that the crew can continue its own preparation.
  • At anchor in the Balearics, when the yacht cannot come in and tender access allows us to bring the equipment safely.
  • In a workshop near the yacht, for a removable vanity top or table top.

Services are the same as everywhere on this site: marble polishing, repair, etch mark removal, protection and maintenance contracts that follow the yacht through the season. We work in English with the crew; Spanish pages are available for owners’ representatives and local partners.

Spain: frequent questions

When is the best time to book marble work in the Balearics?

For substantial work, the winter and spring yard period in Palma or Barcelona. For a finishing polish and protection, the weeks before the first charter. In July and August we focus on short interventions between guests.

Can you work on a yacht moving between Palma and Ibiza?

Yes. The same team covers both islands. Tell us the itinerary and we plan the visit at the stop where the yacht has the most time.

Do you have a Spanish company?

Not yet. Work in Spain is carried out today by Les Traitements du Sud, the French company behind our travelling team. The legal details of each port page will change when a local company is created.
