Yacht marble restoration in Croatia, along the Dalmatian coast

Yacht marble restoration in Croatia means working on the most island-rich coast of the Mediterranean. Between Split and Dubrovnik, yachts move every day or two between Brač, Hvar, Vis, Korčula, Mljet and the Elaphiti Islands, with long stretches at anchor in clear water and short stops in town marinas.

Our team travels to your yacht in Split and Dubrovnik, the two main gateways to Central and Southern Dalmatia.

The Croatian season and its marinas

The Croatian coast is organised around marina networks. The largest, ACI, runs 22 marinas along the Adriatic, most of them open all year and a few only from April to October. ACI Split sits on the peninsula right next to the old town; ACI Dubrovnik, the southernmost marina of the chain, lies up the Rijeka Dubrovačka inlet, a short distance from the port of Gruž and the city walls.

The season is concentrated between late spring and early autumn, with a strong peak in July and August, when charter yachts change guests in Split and Dubrovnik and spend the week between the islands. Since Croatia joined the euro and the Schengen area in 2023, yachts arriving from Italy or Greece cross a simpler border, and crews move more easily between ports.

For marble, the Croatian pattern is specific: long weeks at anchor, salty air and sun on deck tables, guests coming and going every week. Most needs are short and recurring, which makes the hours between two charters, or an early-season stop before the first guests, the right moment for our team.

How our travelling team works in Croatia

Interventions in Croatia are carried out today by the travelling team of Les Traitements du Sud, the stone-care company that looks after yachts on the Côte d’Azur, under the EU freedom to provide services. We have no Croatian office or address; the team travels to your yacht and works in English with the crew.

  • Alongside in Split or Dubrovnik on turnaround day or the day before, when the interior is free for a few hours.
  • At anchor off the islands, when the yacht stays out and tender access allows the equipment to come on board safely.
  • Before the season, during preparation, for a full polish and protection of bathrooms and floors.
  • In a workshop near the yacht for a removable piece that needs more time than a turnaround allows.

Because the same team works in Italy and Greece, a yacht cruising the Adriatic and the Ionian can be followed from one country to the next, with the same products and the same finish.

Croatia: frequent questions

Can you work during a Saturday charter turnaround in Split?

Often, yes, for targeted work such as etch marks or limescale in showers. Plan it with us in advance: turnaround days are busy and the quay can be crowded.

Is Croatian or English used on board?

English. Our team works with international crews in English; Croatian pages are not available yet.

Can you come to an island anchorage?

When the captain can arrange a tender transfer and the sea state allows the equipment to be handled safely, yes. Otherwise we suggest the next stop in Split or Dubrovnik.
